Fatma Yelda Ünlü

My name is Fatma Yelda Ünlü. I graduated from Ege University, Chemistry department as the top student of the department in 2006. Then I started my M.Sc in İzmir Institute of Technology, Chemistry department in 2006 and I studied on rhodium catalyzed carbonylative arylation of alkynes to synthesize Indanone and Indenone molecules. I obtained my M.Sc degree in 2009 and then I started to another M.Sc. in Ege University, Educational Sciences department and I obtained a M.Sc. degree on Chemistry Teaching in elementary and high schools, in 2010.Then I moved to the Netherlands and started to work in Wageningen University & Research, Biochemistry department with Prof. Dr. Jacques Vervoort as a scientific researcher. Then, in 2015, I moved to France, Bordeaux and I learnt French during my stay. In 2017, I returned to Turkey, and initiated a start-up project with Dr. Caner Ünlü and Prof. Dr. İkbal Agah İnce which is entitled as “MediDot”. I started my Ph.D in İstanbul Technical University, Chemistry department in 2019.

 

I love chemistry, especially organic chemistry. I also love travelling to new destinations and taking photos. I can speak 3 languages besides Turkish (English, French and Dutch).
